Crom Carmichael Discusses the Concept of Democratic Losses That Leaned Too Left

Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio to discuss the institutional constraints afflicted upon some Democrat legislation that went to far left.

Leahy: We are joined now by the original All-Star panelists Crom Carmichael. Crom, there were a few other things going on on Election Day you wanted to talk about.

Carmichael: Yes. I’m sure that, Michael, you have heard an audio of the phone call that the Democrat House members had and the language that the lady – the gentle lady from Virginia. (Leahy laughs)

Leahy: The ‘gentle lady from Virginia.’

Carmichael: Who on the phone call dropped the F-bomb to all of her other Democrat members. Now here’s my question. Shouldn’t CNN and MSNBC play that audio clip in full without beeping it or anything? Play the whole thing because that was a private conversation, but it was private in the sense that there were lots of people on it.

Just as when President Trump had a private conversation in the Oval Office and called Haiti a blank hole. Beginning with the word S. And that was reported. I believe that that was actually recorded. No, it wasn’t either. They just ran it as if it were true, even though there was no wait for this Carl, there was no proof. There was evidence that Trump had said it. Okay. But it also shows the great consternation of the House. And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez…

Leahy: (Spanish accent) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She says that the Democrats are upset and that the Democrats are going to lose it look like 10 seats.

Leahy: I think 10 is about right.

Carmichael: Rather than pick up 15 which is what Pelosi promised they are angry as they can be but Ocasio-Cortez has doubled down on the word socialism. She wants the Democrats to continue to use the word socialism, even though the person from Virginia is essentially saying I know we’re all a bunch of, I’m paraphrasing here. I know we’re all a bunch of socialists. We just can’t admit it. Yeah, we have to lie in order to win. But Ocasio-Cortez says, no you don’t.

Leahy: At least she’s honest.

Carmichael: At least she’s honest. She’s brainless, but she’s an honest person.

Leahy: Here’s a new phrase. Vote for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She’s brainless, but she’s honest about it. (Laughter) That’s good Crom. That one is very good.

Carmichael: So anyway, she puts out a Tweet, Ocasio-Cortez, AOC puts out a Tweet. There are folks running around on TV blaming progressivism for Democrat underperformance. I was curious, so I decided to open the hood on the struggling campaigns of candidates, who are blaming progressives for their problems.

Almost all have awful execution on digital during a pandemic. She then goes on to say that every single Democrat running on the progressive platform on environmentalism and healthcare measures won. Well, that’s if I guess that’s if you’re selective on who you say ran all those things. Because a whole bunch of Democrats ran on those things and lost.

Leahy: Donna Shalala who is the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and former president of the Clinton Foundation who won nearly her seat in Miami in the House in 2018 Was Defeated? Lost by three percent.

Carmichael: Okay, and that’s that’s a pretty big percentage. You can’t cheat your way out of that one. Now here’s another big flopper and that’s the Lincoln Project. I’ll tell you what.

Leahy: Grifters.

Carmichael: They will go down in history as great con artists.

Leahy: They are grifters.

Carmichael: They are grifters. They raised 67 million dollars. Probably kept at least 10 percent of it.

Leahy: Probably more than that. I’m saying that’s six-point seven million.

Leahy: Lots of dough-re-mi.

Carmichael: And they promised to win when Senate seats for the Democrats. So so, you know hats off to them on how many people they tricked out of millions of dollars, but it’s still they are just they are really bums as people as human beings. They are just bums. There are two there were two things that happened that were also interesting from a voting standpoint.

In California, there was a voter initiative to allow for discrimination based on race at institutions of higher education. It was the money that was spent backing that initiative was huge it lost and it lost by a substantial margin. So hats off to the people from California. That discrimination is just fundamentally wrong.

Then the last one was in Illinois. In Illinois, the mainstream Democrats and the Pritzker the multi-billionaire and who inherited his money governor pushed a repeal of the constitutional flat tax and wanted to replace it with a progressive tax. He put 56 million dollars of his own money behind that initiative and the media reported that it was going to win and it lost by a full 10 percent in Illinois.

Leahy: So sad.

Carmichael: So there are some good things. And by the way, that’s called an institutional constraint. Now the Democrats in Illinois are going to have to face the fact that they’re going to have to cut spending and that they can’t just rob the public.

No, the Democrats did not lean far enough to the left. The Republican Party is under the control of the lunatic Right.
